Wednesday, April 14, 2010, Visit of Mr Derek Hanekom Andre, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of South Africa accompanied by Mr. Refaat Chaabouni Secretary of State to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, loaded for Scientific research to BiotechPole® Sidi Thabet : This visit appears in the setting of an official visit of an important South-African delegation to Tunisia for the strengthening of fraternal relations and bilateral cooperation in several domains, notably, health, social development, sciences and technologies, energy, agriculture, culture and the sports.
During this visit, the presents took knowledge of research and development activities, as well as of the facilities puted at the disposal of BiotechPole's skills within the National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies (CNSTN) and the National institute of Research and Physical and Chemical analysis (INRAP), and they negotiated the possibilities of cooperation between Tunisia and South Africa in the domains of BiotechPole’s specializations, in particular, in the biotechnologies applied to health.
Tuesday, April 13, 2010, BiotechPole® Sidi Thabet participated in the 2nd edition of the Digital Spring of Manouba which runs from Tuesday, April 13, 2010, until May 13, 2010 : Organized in collaboration with Manouba University and the Industry Promotion Agency (API), this event is focused this year on technology transfer, financing mechanisms and privileges granted to the entrepreneurs.
This event lasted one month was welcomed during its inauguration Mr. Bechir Tekkari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Mr. Mohamed Naceur Ammar, Minister of Communication Technologies.
Thursday April 1st, 2010: Visit of an arab delegation to the BiotechPole's site : As part of a training seminar on "Industry Incubators in Arab countries", prepared by the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining, in coordination with the Pôle El Gazala of Communication Technologies, an arab delegation composed of Mr. Mohamed Elhawari, industrial development director and Kuwaiti, Qatari, Saudi, Omani, Libyan, Algerian and Tunisian representatives, visited BiotechPole® Sidi Thabet.
During this visit, the CEO of the BiotechPole® presented to the guests the activity of the BiotechPole® as well as its various components, then he let the speech to the Dr. Ali Mhenni, to present the Pasteur institute of Tunis, main partner of the BiotechPole®, who focusing on the different innovating projects that will be housed in the BiotechPole’s Incubator.
Finally, the guests expressed their good impression on the Technopark and insisted on its important role in the promotion and innovation in the domains of the biotechnologies applied to health and the pharmaceutical industries, on a local, regional and Arabian scale.
March 23, 2010: Construction Start of the 1st Incubator dedicated to biotechnology applied to health at BiotechPole® Sidi Thabet’s site : The fundamental objectives of this incubator is to promote the creation of new small and medium enterprises with high technological level and to promote development, diversification and modernization of existing ones.

Thursday February 04, 2010: A Seminar on « The stakes of human resource training: To strengthen partnerships with Biotechs-health companies » is organized by the Higher institute of Biotechnology of Sidi Thabet (ISBST), in collaboration with BiotechPole® Sidi Thabet.
This seminar was an opportunity to present the strategy of ISBST' academic teaching, in the setting of the training of expertises in human resources, in answer to the needs of health sector, and to discuss about means and paths to borrow to improve the training courses (applied licenses and professional masters) taking into account the needs of the industrials and the international standards.
This event has been marked by the presence of teachers, researchers as well as professionals of the domain. (Program)

An Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation was signed on 28 September 2008 between the BiotechPole Sidi Thabet and the Pole of Competitiveness of Bizerta : This agreement provides for enhancing synergies and complementarities in strengthening the double transfer in the areas of specialization Technoparks, especially in research, training, innovation, hosting companies and information exchange.
Other partnership agreements are under study and exploration.

In the setting of the scientific cooperation between Tunisia and South Korea; a Korean delegation composed of responsible, experts and scientists persons has just done a visit in Sidi Thabet Technopark and that, September 18, 2007.
The guests had in the first place, a general idea on the advancement of this presidential project. In second place, they took knowledge of the research potential and the scientific expertises existing in INRAP (National institute of Research and Physical and Chemical analysis) and CNSTN (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies).
